A very worthy cause for a special little girl.This is the letter I received. Melanie is a nine year old, vibrant girl who suffers from Von Willebrand Disease (VWD). VWD prevents Melanie from participating in everyday childhood activities due to lack of a specific protein in her blood which prevents normal blood clotting. With VWD, something as minor as bumping her leg could be fatal. Gentlemen’s Club 10 is sponsoring a one night Charity Event for Melanie on Sunday, October 15, 2006 in an effort to financially assist Melanie’s family with her much needed treatments. Everyone is welcome to come support us that evening. Please see the list of activities at the end of this letter for more information.Gentlemen’s Club 10 will continue to work to help make a difference in the lives of people like Melanie. Individuals affected by this disease have reason to hope because great advances are being made in VWD. However, continued research, outreach and work are essential to help all who are affected by VWD. You can make an immediate difference in the life of a child with VWD. 100% of your donation will provide financial help for Melanie and her family for treatment, other associated costs and research.I hope we can count on you to help.
